''The Gardener of Argenteuil'' (French: ''Le jardinier d'Argenteuil'', German: ''Blüten, Gauner und die Nacht von Nizza'') is a 1966 French-German comedy crime film directed by Jean-Paul Le Chanois and starring Jean Gabin, Liselotte Pulver, and Pierre Vernier.Oscherwitz & Higgins p.241 It was shot at the Victorine Studios in Nice and on location around Paris, including Argenteuil where much of the film takes place. Mary Marquet (born Micheline Marguerite Delphine Marquet; 14 April 1895 – 29 August 1979) was a French stage and film actress. Career Marquet came from a family of artists: her parents were actors, an aunt was a star dancer at the Paris Opera, and another was an official at the Comédie-Française.
