The Floor Is Made Of Lava is a Danish rock musical ensemble, band, formed in 2006. The band consists of Tobias Kippenberger (vocals), Simon Visti (bass), Lars Rock (guitar) and Ace (drums). In 2007 they had their debut, with the album ''All Juice No Fruit'', which was produced by Troels Abrahamsen of Veto (band), Veto. In 2010 they released their second album ''Howl at the Moon'', which was produced by Sebastion Wolff of Kellermensch. The band have primarily played concerts in Denmark. They've performed at Roskilde Festival, and have warmed up for bands such as Oasis (band), Oasis, AC/DC, Nephew (band), Nephew and D-A-D. Danish Rock
Danish rock is rock music played in Denmark. Starting in the 1950s, rock music was inspired by the United States of America, where it was becoming extremely popular, although records could be difficult to obtain in the country . Danish jazz artists began adopting the rock genre. Towards the end of the 1950s and throughout the 1960s, Danish rock was heavily influenced by British music, one of the genres being R&B. By the late 1960s, Danish rock was again influenced by American rock. During the 1980s, the Danish rock consisted mainly of pop-rock bands, until the rock subgenre grunge broke through to the mainstream in the 1990s. In the late 1990s and early 21st century Indie rock was very popular. Veto (band)
VETO is a Danish indie rock band formed in 2004. They released their first EP, ''I Will Not Listen'', in 2005 and their first full-length album, ''There's A Beat In All Machines'', in 2006, both released on the Danish hip hop label, Tabu Records/Playground Music Denmark. In February 2007 VETO won the award for Best New Act, as well as Best Danish Music Video at Danish Music Awards. Their song "You Are A Knife" was featured briefly in the American television program '' NCIS'' episode "Suspicion". VETO's second album is called ''Crushing Digits'' and was released 5 May 2008. Kellermensch is a Danish band. The band was formed in Esbjerg in 2006, they started out under the name Brudevalsen (bridal waltz), and took their name from the German translation of Fyodor Dostoyevsky's novella ''Notes from Underground''. Roskilde Festival
The Roskilde Festival is a Danish music festival held annually south of Roskilde. It is one of the largest music festivals in Europe and the largest in the Nordic countries. It was created in 1971 by two high school students and a promoter. In 1972, the festival was taken over by the Roskilde Foundation, which has since run the festival as a non-profit organization for development and support of music, culture and humanism. In 2014, the Roskilde Foundation provided festival participants with the opportunity to nominate and vote upon which organizations should receive funds raised by the festival. The Roskilde Festival was Denmark's first music-oriented festival created for hippies, and today covers more of the mainstream youth from Scandinavia and the rest of Europe. Oasis (band)
Oasis were an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1991. Originally known as the Rain, the group initially consisted of Liam Gallagher (lead vocals, tambourine), Paul Arthurs (guitar), Paul McGuigan (bass guitar) and Tony McCarroll (drums). Liam's older brother Noel (lead guitar, vocals) later joined as a fifth member, finalising the group's core lineup. AC/DC
AC/DC (stylised as ACϟDC) are an Australian Rock music, rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by Scottish-born brothers Malcolm Young, Malcolm and Angus Young. Nephew is a Danish rock band formed in 1996 in Aarhus, Denmark. The band consists of Simon Kvamm (lead vocals, keyboards, songwriting), Kristian Riis (guitar, backing vocals), Søren Arnholt (drums, backing vocals), Kasper Toustrup (bass guitar), René Munk Thalund (keyboards), and Marie Højlund (vocals, keyboards, guitar). D-A-D is a Danish rock band. They were originally named Disneyland After Dark, but changed their name to avoid a lawsuit from The Walt Disney Company. History In the early 1980s in Copenhagen, D-A-D started playing together under their original name ''Disneyland After Dark''. Pedersen came up with the name based on the idea that when the lights are out in Disneyland, anything can happen. The first lineup of D-A-D consisted of Jesper, Stig, Peter and Stig's girlfriend, Lene Glumer. The band's debut concert was at the youth club Sundby Algaard. DR (), officially the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in English, is a Danish public-service radio and television broadcasting company.
