The Dunwells
The Dunwells are an English rock band, formed in Leeds in 2009. The group consists of brothers Joseph Dunwell (vocals) and David Dunwell (guitar, vocals), along with friends Adam Taylor (drums, vocals) and Rob Clayton (bass, vocals). The band was signed by Playing In Traffic Records in 2011. Their debut album, " Blind Sighted Faith", produced by John Porter, was released in February 2012. In June 2012, Playing In Traffic struck a deal with Concord Music Group, and the band re-released " Blind Sighted Faith" through Concord in August 2012. The Dunwells released 'Show Me Emotion EP' in September 2014, produced by Stephen Harris. Recently, the band has released a new single entitled 'Lucky Ones'. It is the first single, and title track of, their upcoming EP, 'Lucky Ones'. The EP was released on 25 May via Concord Music Group. Lollapalooza (Lolla) is an annual American four-day music festival held in Grant Park in Chicago. ''The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'' is an American late-night talk show hosted by Jay Leno that first aired from May 25, 1992, to May 29, 2009. It resumed production on March 1, 2010 and ended on February 6, 2014. The fourth incarnation of the ''Tonight Show'' franchise debuted on May 25, 1992, three days after Johnny Carson's retirement as host of the program. George Drakoulias
George Drakoulias (born 1965) is a Greek-American music producer and a former A&R executive at the American Recordings label. He is often considered a protégé of Rick Rubin. Drakoulias grew up in Syosset, New York, and attended Syosset High School, where he started his musical career with a band called Lifeline. He went to college at New York University (NYU), where he majored in music and business. There he befriended Rick Rubin, whom he met after he started dating an ex-girlfriend of Rubin's. He became one of the first hires for Rubin's Def Jam label. As an A&R man, he discovered L.L. Cool J and the Beastie Boys. After Rubin left Def Jam to move to Los Angeles and form the Def American label, which was later retitled American Recordings, Drakoulias moved with him and became a producer. South By Southwest
South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By, is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and Convention (meeting), conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States. It began in 1987 and has continued to grow in both scope and size every year. In 2017, the conference lasted for 10 days with the interactive track lasting for five days, music for seven days, and film for nine days. John Porter (musician, Born 1947)
John Porter (born 11 September 1947, in Leeds, England) is an English musician and record producer. Biography He attended St Michael's School, Allerton Grange School, King's College, London, and Newcastle University. While at Newcastle, Porter met singer Bryan Ferry, and was part of his fledgling band The Gas Board. Ferry's later band Roxy Music had achieved success in the early 1970s, but having had some troubles with bass players, Ferry invited Porter on board to record the 1973 album ''For Your Pleasure'' and it's subsequent tour. Porter went on to serve as a record producer for many later albums for Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry. Porter is credited with the production of Liverpool's ''Watt 4'' album at Matrix Studios in 1979.
