Fantastic Plastic was formed by lifelong music fan Darrin Robson in a Co. Down attic. Originally specialising in mail-order only rare and collectible records .... The album is available on 12" vinyl, CD and download formats. The vinyl album includes an extra track, "Why Don't We Just Hurt Ourselves", which is placed between "All the Stars" and "Just Be Social". The CD version came with a bonus disc containing the four track ''Committing Social Suicide'' EP, previously unavailable on CD. Before signing to Fantastic Plastic, they had released one EP entitled ''Suck Our Band'' (a phrase taken from the lyrics of their song "Are You Feeling Fashionable?") on the Vacuous Pop label. While originally recorded as a demo, Vacuous Pop were so taken with the 'Suck Our Band' recordings that they had to be given a proper release. Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Fantastic Plastic Records is an independent record label based in London and Brighton. Fantastic Plastic was formed by lifelong music fan Darrin Robson in a Co. Down attic. Originally specialising in mail-order only rare and collectible records, it soon grew into the opening of two independent local record shops before making the move to release the label's debut vinyl EP by Cork (city), Cork's finest The Sultans Of Ping FC in 1991. Further releases soon followed by bands such as Television Personalities (band), Television Personalities, The Blue Aeroplanes and Ash (band), Ash before the label relocated to London going on to work with bands such as Ikara Colt, Guillemots (band), Guillemots and The Futureheads.
