The Dead Leaves
The Dead Leaves was an Australian alternative rock band formed in 2011. Their line up consisted of vocalist/guitarist Matt Joe Gow, guitarist Andrew Pollock, bassist Cameron Grindrod, keyboardist Clio Renner, drummer Joel Witenberg and vocalists Gin Wigmore and Emma Louise. The band was based in Melbourne, Australia, although Joe Gow is from New Zealand. The core of the group had initially formed to serve as a backing band on Matt Joe Gow's solo album '' The Messenger'', released through Liberation Music. Matt Joe Gow (born in Auckland, New Zealand) is a musician, songwriter, producer and the lead singer and frontman of Australian Americana band Matt Joe Gow & The Dead Leaves. Joe Gow released his debut album The Messenger (Matt Joe Gow and the Dead Leaves album) through Liberation Music to critical acclaim. His follow up album ''Seven Years'' released in 2016 was nominated for a Victoria Music Award for Best Country Album and his third solo album, the self produced ''Break Rattle And Roll'' released in October 2018 won the award for Best Country Album. Nash Chambers (born 8 May 1974, Mount Gambier) is an Australian record producer, talent manager, audio engineer and multi-instrumentalist. He is a former member of the family country music group, Dead Ringer Band (1986–98), with his father Bill, mother Diane, and younger sister Kasey Chambers. James Moginie (born 18 May 1956) is an Australian musician. He is best known for his work with Midnight Oil, of which he is a founding member, guitarist, keyboardist and leading songwriter.
