''The Custodian'' is a 1993 Australian drama film, written and directed by John Dingwall, starring Anthony LaPaglia, Hugo Weaving and Barry Otto. LaPaglia plays Det. Sgt. James Quinlan, a police officer who attempts to bring his corrupt partner Det. Church, played by Weaving, to justice. John Dingwall
John Dingwall (13 July 1940 – 3 May 2004) was an Australian journalist, writer and director of film and television, best known for his screenplay '' Sunday Too Far Away'' (1975). Dingwall should not be confused with the Scottish journalist of the same name. Career Dingwall was born in Rockhampton, Queensland, where he commenced his career as a journalist with a cadetship at the city's daily newspaper, ''The Morning Bulletin''. Phillip Houghton
Phillip Houghton (26 April 1954 – 30 September 2017) was an Australian classical guitarist and composer. Born in Melbourne, he began studying music at the age of 20 at Melba Conservatorium of Music. After a year, he then began studying privately with well-known classical pianist and guitarist Sebastian Jorgenson at the Montsalvat Artists Colony in Eltham, Victoria. Although Houghton had little compositional training, his music has achieved critical acclaim. In particular, his piece ''Stélé'' was recorded by John Williams (guitarist), John Williams in his 1998 album ''The Guitarist''. Karin Schaupp made the first complete recording.
