''The Criminal Investigator'' (Traditional Chinese: O記實錄; lit. ''The O Files'') is a 1995 Hong Kong police procedural television drama. Produced by Jonathan Chik with a screenplay co-written and edited by Chow Yuk-ming, the drama is a TVB production. The story follows a team of investigators from the Organized Crime and Triad Bureau (OCTB) unit of the Royal Hong Kong Police Force. Police Procedural
The police show, or police crime drama, is a subgenre of procedural drama and detective fiction that emphasizes the investigative procedure of a police officer or department as the protagonist(s), as contrasted with other genres that focus on either a private detective, an amateur investigator or the characters who are the targets of investigations. Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) is a television broadcasting company based in Hong Kong SAR. The Company operates five free-to-air terrestrial television channels in Hong Kong, with TVB Jade as its main Cantonese language service, and TVB Pearl as its main English service. TVB is headquartered at TVB City at the Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate. TVB commenced broadcasting on November 19, 1967. The Company was incorporated on July 26, 1965 and was co-founded by Sir Run Run Shaw, who was Chairman from 1980 to 2011, together with Sir Douglas Clague and Harold Lee Hsiao-wo of the Lee Hysan family. Kenix Kwok
Kenix Kwok Ho-ying (born 27 November 1970) is a Hong Kong actress with family roots in Zhongshan, Guangdong, China. Along with Maggie Cheung Ho-yee, Ada Choi, Flora Chan and Jessica Hsuan, Kenix is known as one of the Top 5 "Fa Dans" (花旦) (term used for actresses with high popularity) of TVB from the mid-1990s to mid-2000s. Career Kwok got her start as a finalist in the Top 5 of the 1993 Miss Hong Kong Pageant. Though considered a favourite to win, having won two side awards including Media's Favourite and Potential Artist, she lost to Mok Hoi Yan. Consequently, Kwok did not even make it to the Top 3.
