''The Complex'' is the second full-length album by Blue Man Group, released in 2003. The album produced two singles, and debuted at #60 on the Billboard charts. As with the previous album, a DVD-Audio version was released, containing a high-definition (96 kHz/24-bit) 5.1 surround sound mix. The Allmusic review by Robert L. Doerschuk states "Although its inspirations, musical and conceptual, trace as far back as Kraftwerk, ''The Complex'' serves as a reminder that modern devices and glistening production values can be applied to the most primal creative instincts, if utilized by the right — blue — hands".Doerschuk, R. The Complex (band)
The Complex were an Irish punk rock band formed in 1979 in Dublin. The band's membership consisted of Liam Ó Maonlaí (vocals, guitar), Kevin Shields (guitar), Colm Ó Cíosóig (drums) and a bassist known only as Mark. The Complex disbanded in 1981 after Ó Maonlaí's departure. Although unsuccessful on the Dublin post-punk music scene, members of The Complex later formed successful alternative rock bands, including My Bloody Valentine and Hothouse Flowers. History Formation: 1979–1980 The Complex formed circa 1979 when 16-year-old guitarist Kevin Shields and 14-year-old drummer Colm Ó Cíosóig answered an advertisement "placed by some 12-year-old kid called Mark." The Complex (film)
is a 2013 Japanese horror film directed by Hideo Nakata. The film premiered at the Rotterdam Film Festival on January 1, 2013, and was released in Japan on May 18 that same year. A 12 episode drama, titled ''Kuroyuri Danchi ~Josho~'' follows events leading up to those that take place in the film. It began airing in Japan on April 9, 2013. In May 2018, the series was released in the United States on Toku. Plot A young nursing student, Asuka Ninomiya (Atsuko Maeda) moves to a dilapidated apartment complex with her father, Isao; mother, Sachiko (Naomi Nishida); and younger brother, Satoshi. She tries to greet her elderly next door neighbor, Shinozaki, but with little success, and befriends a local boy named Minoru Kinoshita, whose only guardian is Shinozaki.
