The Cleopatra Complex
The Cleopatra Complex is an American rock band from Miami, Florida, United States. The band was formed in 2012 by Gea Gamboa and Paul Trust shortly after a project they were previously working on named All The Pretty Cars dissolved. Gamboa and Trust have worked together since 2003, when at 15 she started her first band, Faces of March, for which Gamboa was the lead singer/writer and Trust was the producer/writer. Trust has also produced or written for such artists as Atom Smash, Say Anything, Diecast, Endo and James Durbin. The Cleopatra Complex has a sound influenced by the multi cultural landscape of South Florida and incorporates elements from rock, reggae and electronica. The band's first video for the song "Killing Time" was shot and edited entirely on an iPhone 4 by director Keith Douglas Charles Moore, and won Best Music Video at the 2012 iPhone Film Festival. James Durbin
__NOTOC__ James Durbin FBA (30 June 1923 – 23 June 2012) was a British statistician and econometrician, known particularly for his work on time series analysis and serial correlation. Education The son of a greengrocer, Durbin was born in Widnes, where he attended the Wade Deacon Grammar School. He studied mathematics at St John's College, Cambridge, where his contemporaries included David Cox and Denis Sargan. After wartime service in the Army Operational Research Group, he worked as a statistician for two years with the British Boot, Shoe and Allied Trades Research Association and took a postgraduate diploma in mathematical statistics at Cambridge, supervised by Henry Daniels. Warped Tour
The Warped Tour was a traveling rock tour that toured the United States plus three or four stops in Canada annually each summer from 1995 until 2019. It was the largest traveling music festival in the United States and the longest-running touring music festival to date in North America. Following the first Warped Tour, the skateboard shoe manufacturer Vans became the tour’s main sponsor, when it then became known as the Vans Warped Tour. Vans toured Australia in 1998-2002 and again in 2013. Endo was a four-piece nu metal group from Miami, Florida. The band formed in 1995, released two major record label albums in 2001 and 2003, and worked on songs for a third before disbanding in 2007. In 2012, the band got back together with Gil, Eli and Joel, with their new bass player, Derek Gormley. Recording on their new album began early in 2013 with B-Team Records in Miami, FL. The album was released in July 2013. History The band was formed in 1995 by Gil Bitton and bassist Zelick. In 1996 drummer Joel Suarez joined the group, followed by Eli Parker. Diecast is an American metalcore band originating from Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 1997. History Formed in Boston in 1997, Diecast was originally established as a four-piece group featuring vocalist Colin Schleifer, guitarist Nassim Rizvi, bassist Jeremy Wooden, and drummer Jason Costa. The band's first release ''Perpetual War'' was recorded by Brian McTiernan (of Salad Days fame) and released independently in 1997. The demo was recorded to cassette and is now a collectors item. Say Anything is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. The band was formed in 2000 by Max Bemis and his friends, and within two years, self-released two EPs and a full-length album. In 2003, the band signed with their first label, Doghouse Records. A year later, they released their second album, '' ...Is a Real Boy''. To support the album, they picked up new members and began touring; however, despite rapidly growing critical and fan acclaim, Bemis' health problems, including bipolar disorder and drug addictions, sidelined the band in 2005 as five band members left during the year. Say Anything signed with J Records in 2005 and, following Bemis' successful rehabilitation, re-released ''...Is a Real Boy'' with their new label.
