The City And Horses
The City and Horses is an American indie pop band formed in Brooklyn in 2008. The members include flautist Domenica Fossati, drummer Chris Wirtalla, bassist Matt Manhire, lead guitarist Shane Connerty and synth/sax player Nikki D'Agostino, and singer/songwriter Marc Cantone. An indie band that performs pop songs with subject matter surrounding topics such as breakups and OCD breakdowns. The debut album, I Don’t Want to Dream was released by White Shoe Records in 2009. The band has released 4 albums to date. Indie Pop
Indie pop (also typeset as indie-pop or indiepop) is a music genre and subculture that combines guitar pop with DIY ethic in opposition to the style and tone of mainstream pop music. It originated from British post-punk in the late 1970s and subsequently generated a thriving fanzine, Independent record label, label, and club and gig circuit. Compared to its counterpart, indie rock, the genre is more melodic, less abrasive, and relatively angst-free. In later years, the definition of ''indie pop'' has bifurcated to also mean bands from unrelated DIY scenes/movements with pop leanings. Subgenres include chamber pop and twee pop.
