The Case Of Ingegerd Bremssen
''The Case of Ingegerd Bremssen'' (Swedish: ''Fallet Ingegerd Bremssen'') is a 1942 Swedish drama film directed by Anders Henrikson and starring Sonja Wigert, Henrikson, Dagmar Ebbesen and Gösta Cederlund. It was based on a 1937 novel of the same title by Dagmar Edqvist.Brunsdale p.424 It was shot at the Sundbyberg Studios in Stockholm. The film's sets were designed by the art director Max Linder. Synopsis A young nurse Ingegerd Bremssen is assaulted and raped on a lonely road. She is taken to hospital but is extremely traumatised by the attack, and it leads to the breakdown of her engagement with a young army Lieutenant. From a staunchly conservative background she believes her honour has been violated and her life is impossible to rebuild. When she encounters her rapist again she shoots him dead. Carola Ingrid Margareta Segerstedt Luterkort (''née'' Eklundh, 28 June 1910 – 3 August 2011) was a Swedish actress and stage director, whose professional career spanned from the 1930s until 2010. Born in Lund, Luterkort studied in the Royal Dramatic Training Academy (1932–1934) together with Ingrid Bergman, Gunnar Björnstrand and Signe Hasso. She made her debut at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in 1933. She taught Theatre Studies at Stockholm University 1970–1977. Luterkort remained active into her 90s. Carl Barcklind (1 June 1873 – 21 August 1945) was a Swedish stage actor, stage and film actor. Biography Carl Vilhelm Barcklind was born at Sala in Västmanland County, Sweden. He made his debut as an opera singer in 1907 at the Oscarsteatern. He was associated with Albert Ranft as an actor in operettas in his theaters 1898–1922. Barcklind was director of Stora Teatern in Gothenburg 1925–1927. He toured the United States from 1927 to 1928 and was employed by the Dramaten in 1930.
