''The Brothers'' is a BBC Radio 4 sitcom about two brothers who gave up their careers in order to start a website design company. It aired from May 2004-March 2007. There were sixteen half-hour episodes over three series. It starred Adam Godley, Raymond Coulthard, Pauline McLynn and Pearce Quigley Pearce Quigley is an English actor of the stage and screen. BBC Radio 4 is a British national radio station owned and operated by the BBC that replaced the BBC Home Service in 1967. It broadcasts a wide variety of spoken-word programmes, including news, drama, comedy, science and history from the BBC's headquarters at Broadcasting House, London. Adam Godley
Adam Godley (born 22 July 1964) is a British-American actor. He has been nominated for two Tony Awards and four Laurence Olivier Awards for his performances on the New York and London stages which include, ''Private Lives'' in 2001, ''The Pillowman'' in 2002, ''Rain Man'' in 2008, and ''The Lehman Trilogy'' in 2019. He made his Broadway debut in 2002 in a revival of Noël Coward's ''Private Lives'' for which he earned a Theatre World Award for Outstanding Broadway debut. In 2011 he returned to Broadway in the musical ''Anything Goes'' for which he earned a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical nomination. In 2021, ''The Lehman Trilogy'' made its Broadway transfer to great critical acclaim, and securing Godley another Tony nomination for Best Actor in a Play. Raymond Coulthard
Raymond Anthony Coulthard (born 3 September 1968) is a British actor. He is best known for portraying Alasdair Sinclair in ''Emmerdale'' and restaurant manager James Schofield in '' Hotel Babylon''. Career Coulthard's television appearances include several costume dramas. He played Frank Churchill in the 1996 television adaptation of Jane Austen's novel '' Emma'', Mr Glascock in the 2004 adaptation of '' He Knew He Was Right'', and Miles Edgerton in '' Mr. Selfridge''. Pauline McLynn
Pauline McLynn (born 11 July 1962) is an Irish character actress and author. She is best known for her roles as Mrs Doyle in the Channel 4 sitcom ''Father Ted'', Libby Croker in the Channel 4 comedy drama '' Shameless'', Tip Haddem in the BBC One comedy '' Jam & Jerusalem'', and Yvonne Cotton in the BBC soap opera '' EastEnders''. McLynn also appeared as a Garda in Sky One's ''Trollied''. Early life McLynn was born in Sligo, and grew up with two younger brothers in Galway. She studied History of Art and Modern English at Trinity College, Dublin, but was more heavily involved in the college's drama society. She graduated with an MA. David Stafford (writer)
David Stafford (born 1949) is a English writer, broadcaster and occasional musician. Stafford was born in Birmingham, England. He began his career in fringe and community theatre in the 1970s. In the early 1980s, he collaborated and toured with Alexei Sayle, which resulted in two series for Capital Radio, two plays for TV, a book, ''Great Bus Journeys of the World'', and various songs and recordings including ''Doctor Marten's Boots''. At the same time he was a presenter on the Channel 4 consumer programme ''4 What It’s Worth'', contributed to many arts programmes and documentaries including ''The Media Show'' (Channel 4) and extensively to The Late Show (BBC2). His TV plays include ''Dread Poets Society'' ( BBC2) co-written with the poet Benjamin Zephaniah.
