Pauline McLynn
Pauline McLynn (born 11 July 1962) is an Irish character actress and author. She is best known for her roles as Mrs Doyle in the Channel 4 sitcom ''Father Ted'', Libby Croker in the Channel 4 comedy drama '' Shameless'', Tip Haddem in the BBC One comedy '' Jam & Jerusalem'', and Yvonne Cotton in the BBC soap opera '' EastEnders''. McLynn also appeared as a Garda in Sky One's ''Trollied''. Early life McLynn was born in Sligo, and grew up with two younger brothers in Galway. She studied History of Art and Modern English at Trinity College, Dublin, but was more heavily involved in the college's drama society. She graduated with an MA. Career Although McLynn was in her early thirties when playing Mrs Doyle in ''Father Ted'', makeup was used to make her look far older to fit the character's elderly profile. Sligo ( ; ga, Sligeach , meaning 'abounding in shells') is a coastal seaport and the county town of County Sligo, Ireland, within the western province of Connacht. Sir Anthony Charles Lynton Blair (born 6 May 1953) is a British former politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1997 to 2007 and Leader of the Labour Party from 1994 to 2007. ''Gypo'' is a 2005 independent film written and directed by Jan Dunn. Its story details the breakdown of a family in a small town in Britain, told in three narratives. Within a structured screenplay the dialogue throughout was improvised. Although the movement was dissolved in 2005, the filmmakers continued to develop independent and experimental films using or influenced the concept, which being the first film made in the post-Dogme 95 movement. Plot summary The film is shown through the eyes of the three main characters; Paul and Helen, a married couple, and Tasha, a teenage refugee. It shows how the family falls apart under the strain of unexpected emotions. The Inland Revenue was, until April 2005, a department of the British Government responsible for the collection of direct taxation, including income tax, national insurance contributions, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, corporation tax, petroleum revenue tax and stamp duty. More recently, the Inland Revenue also administered the Tax Credits schemes, whereby monies, such as Working Tax Credit (WTC) and Child Tax Credit (CTC), are paid by the Government into a recipient's bank account or as part of their wages. Jennifer Jane Saunders (born 6 July 1958) is an English actress, comedian, singer and screenwriter. ''If I Ruled the World'' is a television show aired in the United Kingdom in 1998 and 1999. It was a comedy panel game show, similar to '' Have I Got News for You'' but focused on parodying the behaviour of politicians. Rounds included answering questions without using the words 'Yes' or 'No', and finding reasons to disagree with policies proposed by the other team, no matter how sensible.
