The Big Money Game
''The Big Money Game'' is a game show, broadcast on RTÉ One on Saturday nights during the summer months of June, July and August as a seasonal replacement for ''Winning Streak''. The successor to '' Fame and Fortune'' (1996–2006) and '' The Trump Card'' (2007), ''The Big Money Game'' was first broadcast on Saturday, 14 June 2008. As with ''Winning Streak'', production costs for the programme are paid by RTÉ and the prize money is funded by the Irish National Lottery. Entry to the game show is based on getting three "lucky stars" on associated National Lottery scratchcards and submitting them for a televised drawing. Contestants can win cash prizes up to €250,000, as well as cars, holidays, and other prizes. The first series was presented by Laura Woods. ''The Trump Card'' is a game show that was broadcast on RTÉ One during the summer months of 2007 as a seasonal replacement for ''Winning Streak''. Launched as the successor to ''Fame and Fortune'' (1996–2006), ''The Trump Card'' had its prize money funded by the National Lottery and its production costs paid by RTÉ. Laura Woods presented. Gaelic football ( ga, Peil Ghaelach; short name '), commonly known as simply Gaelic, GAA or Football is an Irish team sport. It is played between two teams of 15 players on a rectangular grass pitch. The objective of the sport is to score by kicking or punching the ball into the other team's goals (3 points) or between two upright posts above the goals and over a crossbar above the ground (1 point). Players advance the football up the field with a combination of carrying, bouncing, kicking, hand-passing, and soloing (dropping the ball and then toe-kicking the ball upward into the hands). Wicklow GAA
The Wicklow County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) ( ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael, Coiste Chontae Cill Mhantáin) or Wicklow GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Wicklow. The county board is also responsible for the Wicklow county teams. The county football team plays in the Leinster Senior Football Championship. Wicklow has had very little success at senior level, being the only football team in the province and one of two in Ireland to have never won a senior title in either code, the other being Fermanagh. Ciarán Hyland is a Gaelic footballer from County Wicklow, Ireland. He plays with the Wicklow intercounty team with whom he won a Tommy Murphy Cup medal in 2007. Laura Woods is an Irish television presenter and radio host. Career Whilst in her third year at Trinity, Woods began her broadcasting career by working as a continuity announcer on RTÉ Radio.
