The Arrows Of Robin Hood (film)
''The Arrows of Robin Hood'' (russian: Стрелы Робин Гуда, ''Strely Robin Guda'', alternative translations ''Robin Good's Arrows'', ''Robin Gud's Arrows'') is a Soviet Union, Soviet 1975 in film, 1975 film about Robin Hood directed by Sergei Tarasov (film director), Sergei Tarasov. Two soundtracks exist for the film. In 1975 Vladimir Vysotsky wrote and performed seven ballads, six of them were included in the final version. In 1976 new songs were performed by Aija Kukule and Viktors Lapčenoks, lyrics by Lev Prozorovsky, music by Raimonds Pauls, this version was released in the cinemas. Four of Vysotsky's songs were later used in 1982 film ''The Ballad of the Valiant Knight Ivanhoe'' also directed by Tarasov, set in the same time and place and using some of the same characters. In the 1990s the film was successfully re- ...

Guy Of Gisbourne
Sir Guy of Gisbourne (also spelled Gisburne, Gisborne, Gysborne, or Gisborn) is a character from the Robin Hood legends of English folklore. He first appears in "Robin Hood and Guy of Gisborne" (Child Ballad 118), where he is an assassin who attempts to kill Robin Hood but is killed by him. In later depictions, he has become a romantic rival to Robin Hood for Maid Marian's love. Textual background The Child ballad "Robin Hood and Guy of Gisborne" dates from 1650 but its origins are much older than that, judging from the similarities with the 1475 play, a fragment of which is preserved in the library of Trinity College, Cambridge. Summary of the Child ballad Robin Hood and Little John walk through the forest. Robin speaks of a bad dream he had, of two men attacking him. While talking, they spot a distant stranger leaning on a tree.
