''The Amazing Race Vietnam: Cuộc đua kỳ thú 2019'' is the sixth season of the reality television game show, '' The Amazing Race Vietnam''. It featured ten teams of two celebrities in a race around Vietnam for 300 million ₫. The season premiered on VTV3 and aired every Saturday primetime (8:00 p.m. UTC+7) from 6 July to 17 September 2019. ''The Amazing Race 3'' (also known as ''The Amazing Race on Space'') is the third season of the Latin American version of the reality television game show based on the American series of the same name, ''The Amazing Race''. Vietnam Television ( vi, Đài Truyền hình Việt Nam), or VTV, is the national television broadcaster of Vietnam. As the state broadcaster under the direction of the government of Vietnam, VTV is tasked with "propagating the views of the Party, policies, laws of the government". Otto Warmbier
Otto Frederick Warmbier (December 12, 1994 – June 19, 2017) was an American college student who was imprisoned in North Korea in 2016 on a charge of subversion. In June 2017, he was released by North Korea in a vegetative state and died soon afterwards. Warmbier entered North Korea as part of a guided tour group on December 29, 2015. On January 2, 2016, he was arrested at Pyongyang International Airport while awaiting departure from the country. He was convicted of attempting to steal a propaganda poster from his hotel, for which he was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with hard labor. Shortly after his sentencing in March 2016, Warmbier suffered a severe neurological injury from an unconfirmed cause and fell into a coma, which lasted until his death. Tourism in North Korea is tightly controlled by the North Korean government.
