The Algorithm
The Algorithm is the musical project of French musician Rémi Gallego (born 7 October 1989) from Perpignan. His style is characterised by an unusual combination of electronic dance music with progressive metal. Gallego chose the name The Algorithm to highlight the music's complex and electronic nature. History Early years (2009–2010) After the demise of his band Dying Breath, Rémi Gallego decided in 2009 to look for potential members for a band that focused on mathcore, which came as an inspiration from The Dillinger Escape Plan. After a futile search for new members, with the help of his guitar and a DAW, Gallego began to produce his own music. In December 2009 and July 2010, he published the two demos "The Doppler Effect" and "CRITICAL.ERROR", which were / released via his own website for free download. Vildhjarta
Vildhjarta is a Swedish progressive metal band from Hudiksvall, formed in 2005. The band plays in a Meshuggah-influenced musical style employing heavily down-tuned seven-string guitars, as well as harmonic minor chord progressions, jarring staccato riffs, layers of reverberant guitars and dual lead vocalists. The group released a two-track EP entitled ''Omnislash'' in 2009 before they proceeded to sign with Century Media Records in 2011, spawning their debut full-length album ''Måsstaden'' that same year. In 2013, they followed up with a second EP, ''Thousands of Evils'' released on an exclusive 1,000-copy vinyl record run. Hacktivist are a British rap metal band formed in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England in 2011. They released a self-titled EP in 2012 followed by their debut studio album, ''Outside the Box,'' in 2016. The band's second studio album, ''Hyperdialect,'' was released in 2021. History Hacktivist began in 2011 when former guitarist Timfy James left his previous band Heart of a Coward. James claims that the formation of Hacktivist was a "fluke", with no intention of developing such a style, but the group was born when peer J Hurley, a local rapper with little history in the metal scene, began recording vocals over some of James' demos. Cancer Bats is a Canadian hardcore punk band from Toronto, Ontario. To date, they have released seven studio albums and six extended plays; with their most recent LP, ''Psychic Jailbreak'', having been released on 15 April 2022. The band is currently composed of lead vocalist Liam Cormier, drummer Mike Peters and bassist/guitarist Jaye R. Schwarzer. Paul Antonio Ortiz is an English multi-instrumentalist, best known for his work under the pseudonym, or solo project, of Chimp Spanner. Uneven Structure
Uneven Structure is a progressive metal band based in Metz, France. They play a style of post-metal which is heavily influenced by the Swedish extreme metal band Meshuggah. The band blends polyrhythmic passages and extremely low tunings with a heavily layered production style and ambient soundscapes. They are often categorized in the djent movement due to the Meshuggah-like guitar tone they often employ. The band was formed after the split of Longchat, a band which featured Igor Omodei and Benoit Friedrich. Alton, Hampshire
Alton ( ) is a market town and civil parish in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England, near the source of the River Wey. It had a population of 17,816 at the 2011 census.
