The 3rd Voice
''The 3rd Voice'' (also known as ''The Third Voice'') is a 1960 American neo noir thriller crime drama film directed and written by Hubert Cornfield, who also produced the film with Maury Dexter. It is based on the novel ''All the Way'' by Charles Williams and stars Edmond O'Brien, Laraine Day (in her final film), and Julie London. Premise The Man is the accomplice of Marian Forbes, the spurned mistress of a tycoon. She coaches The Man in impersonating the voice and appearance and habits of the intended victim. The Man begins his masquerade in a Mexican resort, where he meets Corey Scott and moves on to contemplating the murder of his tutor, but things begin to go awry. Hubert Cornfield
Hubert Cornfield (February 9, 1929 — June 18, 2006) was an American film director in Hollywood. He was born in Istanbul, Turkey, and died in Los Angeles. Billy Wilder, William Wyler and Joseph L. Mankiewicz all signed his Directors Guild of America (DGA) application. He moved to the US as a refugee in 1941. He received attention for a short film he made ''The Color is Red'' which attracted the interest of 20th Century Fox. He directed mainly crime films... from Film Noir to Neo Noir... and worked with legendary actors ranging from Marlon Brando to Sidney Poitier. Tom Hernández
Domingo Tomás Hernández Bethencourt (October 9, 1915 – June 2, 1984), known professionally as Tom Hernández (or Tommy Hernandez), was an American theater, films, and television actor, who played supporting roles, usually Hispanics, throughout his career. He was mainly known for their roles in the American film The 3rd Voice (1960), and in the Spanish films "Fuerza Mortal" (1980) and "Tunka, el guerrero" (1983). However, he is best remembered by his interpretation of Don Diego character at the San Diego's fair (California) Del Mar Fair during almost of four decades until his death in 1984. He held the position of goodwill ambassador of the fair, promoting it and he welcomed people that came to the fair with his greeting in Spanish "¡Bienvenidos, Amigos!" ("Welcome Friends!"), greeting for which he was known. He was brother of also actor Pepe Hern and uncle of present-day actor Justin Lopez from The Three Stooges (2012 film).
