Thalolam (film)
''Thalolam'' is a 1998 Indian Malayalam-language drama film directed by Jayaraj, starring Suresh Gopi and Murali in the lead roles. Plot Shankarunni, a violinist, and his wife Devu are mourning the loss of their daughter. Shankarunni's guru, a renowned singer and surrogate father, asks him to air out his troubles after a mistake-ridden violin performance from Shankarunni. The violinist relates how his house was like heaven with him and his wife lovingly raising their daughter and the daughter of his foster brother Haridas. Haridas, whose wife died after their daughter's birth, left his daughter at the care of Shankarunni and Devu to pursue his and his late wife's dream of a career in Paris. Shankarunni reveals to his teacher that it was Haridas's daughter who was dead, and from guilt they said it was their daughter who died. Jayarajan Rajasekharan Nair, professionally credited as Jayaraj, is an Indian filmmaker, who predominantly works in Malayalam film industry. Ashapoorna Devi
Ashapurna Devi (8 January 1909 – 12 July 1995), also Ashapoorna Devi or Ashapurna Debi, was a prominent Indian novelist and poet in Bengali. In 1976, she was awarded the Jnanpith Award and Padma Shri by the Government of India, D.Litt. by the Universities of Jabalpur, Rabindra Bharati, Burdwan and Jadavpur. Vishwa Bharati University honoured her with Deshikottam in 1989. For her contribution as a novelist and short story writer, the Sahitya Akademi conferred its highest honour, the Sahitya Akademi Fellowship, in 1994. Suresh Gopi
Suresh Gopi (born 26 June 1958) is an Indian actor, politician, playback singer and television presenter. Muraleedharan Pillai, popularly known as Murali ( ml, മുരളി, 25 May 1954 – 6 August 2009) was an Indian film, stage and television actor and author. He mainly appeared in Malayalam films and a few Tamil films and also many other movies. He won the National Film Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Appa Mestry, a communist freedom fighter and professional weaver in the 2002 film ''Neythukaran''. He was known for his powerful portrayal of character roles, lead roles and negative roles. Murali started his film career playing villain roles and soon turned to character acting.
