Thalaivasal (film)
''Thalaivasal'' () is a 1992 Tamil-language drama film directed by Selva. The film has an ensemble cast consisting of S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Anand, Sivaranjani, Bhanu Prakash, Nassar, Napoleon and newcomer Vijay. The film, produced by Chozha Ponnurangam, had musical score by Bala Bharathi and was released on 3 September 1992. Plot Nachiappan College is considered to be one of the worst colleges of Chennai; everyday violence erupts between two final-year groups. The students are influenced by the local bigwig Beeda Settu (Nassar), who sells ganja to the students and basically rules the college from outside. The first group is led by Sudhakar ( Anand) whereas the other one is led by Kalaiarasan (Bhanu Prakash). The college management and the police get tired of that situation. Selva (floruit, fl. 1990s) is an Indian director active in Tamil film. He often specializes in film remakes and directed a series of hits the 1990s. His first film ''Thalaivasal (film), Thalaivasal'' launched the career of many. His noted film are ''Amaravathi (1993 film), Amaravathi'', ''Karnaa'', ''Pooveli'', ''James Pandu'', ''Unnaruge Naan Irundhal'', ''Student Number 1'' and ''Naan Avanillai (2007 film), Naan Avanillai''. Anand Krishnamoorthi
Anand Krishnamoorthi is an Indian film sound designer, sound editor and production sound mixer. Early life Anand first appeared in Mani Ratnam's film Anjali and later made appearances in several other films, notably May Madham, Sathi Leelavathi, Aasai, Thalapathi and several Tamil TV Serials till 1995. Education Anand obtained a Bachelor of Science in Visual Communication from the Loyola College, Chennai and a master's in Electronic Media from the Anna University, Chennai. He later obtained an M.A. in Film and Television Production from the University of Bristol in 2005. Career Krishnamoorthi assisted Tamil Film Director Balu Mahendra from 2001-2002. Nagoor Babu, known by his stage name Mano, is an Indian playback singer, voice-over artist, actor, producer, television anchor and composer. He is a recipient of several awards such as the Nandi Awards from the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Kalaimamani award from the Government of Tamil Nadu. Vairamuthu Ramasamy (born 13 July 1953) is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. He is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world. A master's graduate from the Pachaiyappa's College in Chennai, he first worked as a translator, while also being a published poet. He entered the Tamil film industry in the year 1980, with the film ''Nizhalgal'', an Ilaiyaraaja musical, directed by Bharathiraja.
