''Thalainagaram 2'' () is a 2023 Indian Tamil-language action crime film written and directed by V. Z. Durai. It stars Sundar C. and Pallak Lalwani with Thambi Ramaiah, Prabhakar, Aayira, Jaise Jose, Vishal Rajan and Seran Raj in supporting roles. The film is a standalone sequel to the 2006 film ''Thalai Nagaram''. Plot Three deadly crime bosses, namely Nanjunda, Vamsi, and Maaran, exert control over different areas of Chennai. Maaran holds sway over North Chennai, Nanjunda dominates South Chennai, and Vamsi reigns supreme in Central Chennai. These individuals ascended to power through heinous means, resorting to acts of violence, including murder. Vinayagar Sundar Vel (born 21 January 1966), known professionally as Sundar C., is an Indian film director, actor and producer. He has directed over 34 films in Tamil and acted in 17 movies as the protagonist. His notable films include ''Ullathai Allitha'' (1996), '' Arunachalam'' (1997), ''Unnai Thedi'' (1999), ''Anbe Sivam'' (2003), ''Winner'' (2003), '' Giri'' (2004), ''Kalakalappu'' (2012), ''Theeya Velai Seiyyanum Kumaru'' (2013), ''Aranmanai'' (2014), ''Aambala'' (2015) and ''Kalakalappu 2'' (2018). Mohan Rajan
Mohan Rajan is an Indian lyricist working on Tamil language films. Career Hailing from Valayapatti near Tiruchirappalli, Mohan Rajan arrived in Chennai in 2001, hoping to become a lyricist in the Tamil film industry. However, he failed to get a breakthrough and instead qualified himself by pursuing master's degree in Tamil literature and later media arts at Loyola College, Chennai. Mohan Rajan was launched as a lyricist by James Vasanthan during the making of '' Yathumaagi'' (2010). Soon after the release of the song, he became acquainted with Vasanthan's friend, the film-maker Sasikumar, who began to regularly hand lyric-writing assignments to Mohan for his projects.
