Thai Maaman
''Thai Maaman'' () is a 1994 Indian Tamil-language political satire film starring Sathyaraj and Meena. It was released on 16 September 1994. Plot Rasappan (Sathyaraj) is a wealthy but irresponsible landlord in a village, who loves his niece Meena (Meena), an educated girl. Their parents decide to engage them, but Meena refuses to marry as Rasappan is jobless. Rasappan challenges them to find a decent job. Rasappan's uncle (Goundamani) advises him to become a MLA. Rasappan joins Paramasivan's (Manivannan) political party and contests in MLA election against his uncle Velusamy ( Vijayakumar). Paramasivan is cruel-natured and decides to loot public money if Rasappan wins in his party. But Rasappan feels bad contesting against his own uncle and campaigns electors to vote for Velusamy instead of him. But, in an unexpected event, Rasappan wins the election. Anu Mohan (Tamil Actor)
Anu Mohan (born as David Stanley, on 3 December 1957) is an Indian actor and director who has worked in Tamil language films. Beginning his career as a director, Anu Mohan has gone on to play secondary comedy roles in films, notably portraying a character in ''Padayappa'' (1999). Career Anu Mohan completed his mechanical engineering and started his career in the late 1980s, making two feature films '' Idhu Oru Thodar Kathai'' (1987) and ''Ninaivu Chinnam'' (1989). He appeared in acting roles in the 1990s and notably portrayed a comedy role in K. S. Ravikumar's ''Padayappa'' (1999), which garnered him further offers during the period. Vichu Vishwanath is an Indian actor who has appeared in Tamil language films and serials. He has worked in comedy and supporting roles, often associating with director Sundar C. Career Vichu Vishwanath was born in Coimbatore, India and attended RK Sreerangammal Kalvi Nilayam Higher Secondary School in the city. Vichu is married to Hemalatha, and has a daughter, Kokila. He made his acting debut in the film, ''Sandhana Kaatru'' (1990) and portrayed a villainous character alongside Sarathkumar and Vijay Krishnaraj. During the making of the film, he became acquainted with Sundar C, who was an assistant director in the film. ''Kalki'' is a Tamil language, Tamil-language Weekly (news magazine), weekly magazine published from Chennai, India. The magazine was established by Kalki Krishnamurthy, a popular Tamil language, Tamil novelist and Indian freedom fighter, in 1941. Kalki Sadasivam, T Sadasivam was the magazine's co-founder. The magazine is known for its publication of historic novels such as ''Ponniyin Selvan'' and ''Sivagamiyin Sabadham''. Singer Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, guru of M S Subbulakshmi, and music critic S V Seshadri were also involved with the magazine in its coverage of music. ''The Indian Express'' is an English-language Indian daily newspaper founded in 1932. It is published in Mumbai by the Indian Express Group. Vairamuthu Ramasamy (born 13 July 1953) is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. He is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world. A master's graduate from the Pachaiyappa's College in Chennai, he first worked as a translator, while also being a published poet. He entered the Tamil film industry in the year 1980, with the film ''Nizhalgal'', an Ilaiyaraaja musical, directed by Bharathiraja. During the course of his 40-year film career, he has written over 7,500 songs and poems which have won him seven National Awards, the most for any Indian lyricist.
