Ellis J. "Bud" Thackery (January 31, 1903 – July 15, 1990) was an American cinematographer who spent the bulk of his film career at Republic Pictures before successfully transitioning to television. His first credit as a director of photography came in 1941, on the film ''The Gay Vagabond,'' and he worked steadily from that point well into the 1970s, chalking up an extensive filmography in both features and television. Thackery took part in two episodes of '' The Virginian'', many episodes of ABC series "McHale's Navy" and many episodes of the '' Ironside'' TV series on NBC. Carl Edward Thackery (born 14 October 1962 in Sheffield, England) is a retired British long-distance runner, who competed in the 1980s and 1990s. Athletics career He ran twice for Great Britain in the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships, finishing 16th and winning team silver in 1992 and winning individual and team bronzes in 1993. He also finished 14th in the 1986 European Athletics Championships – Men's 10,000 metres, won team silver at the 1987 IAAF World Cross Country Championships – Senior men's race (where he finished 20th), and won team silver at the IAAF World Road Relay Championships in 1986, helping to set a UK record for the road marathon relay in the process. He represented England in the marathon event, at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand. Elizabeth Thackery
Elizabeth Thackery (1767 – 7 August 1856) is the last known survivor of the First Fleet, male or female, and was generally known throughout her long lifetime as the first female convict to land in Australia. Her husband, Samuel King, is thought to be the last male survivor of the First Fleet. She was from Manchester, Lancashire, England. She was tried on 4 May 1786, and sentenced to seven years' transportation for the theft of two black silk handkerchiefs and three white handkerchiefs to a total value of one shilling. She left England on the convict transport ''Friendship'' in May 1787, aged 21 at the time. She and six other girls were transferred from the ship ''Friendship'' to the ship ''Charlotte'' at 1 pm on Sunday 28 October 1787 to make way for livestock that were loaded there at Cape Town in South Africa. Jimmy Thackery (born May 19, 1953, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States) is an American blues singer, guitarist and songwriter. Career Thackery spent fourteen years as part of The Nighthawks, the Washington, D.C. based blues and roots rock ensemble. After leaving the Nighthawks in 1986, Thackery toured under his own name. Born in Pittsburgh and raised in Washington, Thackery co-founded The Nighthawks with Mark Wenner in 1972 and went on to record over twenty albums with them. In 1986 he began touring with The Assassins, a six-piece original blues, rock and R&B ensemble which he had previously helped start as a vacation band when The Nighthawks took one of their rare breaks. ''The Knick'' is an American medical period drama television series on Cinemax created by Jack Amiel and Michael Begler and directed by Steven Soderbergh. The series follows Dr. John W. Thackery (Clive Owen) and the staff at a fictionalized version of the Knickerbocker Hospital (the Knick) in New York during the early twentieth century. Matlock is a rural locality in Victoria, Australia, located about 140 kilometres north-east of Melbourne, located within the Shires of Mansfield and Yarra Ranges local government areas.
