State Highway Loop 281 or Loop 281 is a Texas state highway loop that forms a partial beltway around the city of Longview. The highway travels in a clockwise direction around the western, northern, and eastern parts of the city, with I-20 completing the beltway. The western section of Loop 281, from I-20/US 259/SH 322 to US 259 (Eastman Road), is a surface street that mostly travels through heavily developed areas of the city, while the eastern section, from US 259 to I-20/FM 968 is more of a controlled-access highway that travels through less developed areas. A partial cloverleaf interchange or parclo is a modification of a cloverleaf interchange. The design has been well received, and has since become one of the most popular freeway-to-arterial interchange designs in North America. State Highway 240 (SH 240) is a Texas state highway that runs from Harrold east to Burkburnett, then south parallel to Interstate 44 to Wichita Falls. Route description SH 240 begins at an intersection with US 287 south of Harrold in eastern Wilbarger County. The route travels eastward and soon crosses into Wichita County, intersecting SH 25 in Haynesville. The highway enters the city of Burkburnett along 3rd Street before turning to the south and crossing the I-44 freeway. SH 240 then roughly parallels the freeway, and passes Sheppard AFB as it enters Wichita Falls city limits along Burkburnett Road. Longview Mall is an enclosed shopping mall in Longview, Texas. Opened in 1978, it features Dillard's, JCPenney, Dick's Sporting Goods, Conn's Home Plus, and HomeGoods as its anchor stores. History The original anchors of Longview Mall were Sears, Bealls, J. C. Penney, Dillard's, H. J. Wilson Co. (later Service Merchandise), The Martin Twin Theater and Selber Brothers. In 1987, Selber Brothers sold its locations at Longview and Broadway Square Mall to Dillard's, who converted both to separate men's clothing stores. The Martin Twin was opened May 18, 1978. Each screen had 350 seats. Carmike later operated the theatre as the Mall Twin Cinema until its closing on August 28, 1997. The space is now occupied by Revive Church.
