Texas State Highway 289
State Highway 289, known for most of its length as Preston Road, is a north–south Texas state highway. It begins at the intersection of Preston Road and Loop 12/Northwest Highway in Dallas. The Preston Road designation comes from the fact that the highway generally follows the course of an older road known as the Preston Trail, which ran to the town of Preston end. Preston is now submerged by Lake Texoma. The road is known as Preston all the way north through the remainder of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to a junction with State Highway 56 west of Sherman, near the Oklahoma border (except for the portion through Gunter, which is designated as 8th Street). Preston Road passes through many of the fast-growing northern Dallas suburbs, including Frisco and Plano, as well as Prosper and Celina, with many new housing developments being built along Preston. State Highway 14 (SH 14) is a state highway in the east central region of the U.S. state of Texas. The highway runs from SH 6 south of Bremond to Interstate 45 in Richland. Route description State Highway 14 begins at an intersection with SH 6 about 3 miles southwest of Bremond. The route travels northeastward through Bremond, mainly through farmland in central Texas, passing through the western edge of Kosse and through Groesbeck. It then passes through Mexia, intersecting SH 171 and US 84. It reaches its northern terminus at Interstate 45 on the north side of Richland. Belt Line Road (Texas)
Belt Line Road is a loop road that traverses through 16 cities in Dallas County, Texas. Belt Line Road is the outer complete loop which encircles Dallas, in contrast with I-635 which forms a partial inner loop, Loop 12 which forms a complete inner loop, and President George Bush Turnpike (SH 190), a partial outer loop. Belt Line Road is not designated as a Texas State Loop, but as a local street in each jurisdiction through which it passes. One stretch of the road is designated as FM 1382 and is maintained by the state. No portion of Belt Line Road is a controlled access freeway. Northwest Highway is a major highway/road in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area of Texas. The highway was originally built as the route of State Highway 114 (SH 114) into Dallas. The road has been the site of major development for almost half a decade, especially in Dallas. The route is known as other names at various points. North Texas Regional Airport
North Texas Regional Airport / Perrin Field is a county-owned airport in Grayson County, Texas between Sherman and Denison. Formerly Grayson County Airport, the airport was renamed in November 2007. Several buildings are occupied by businesses, Grayson County government agencies, and Grayson County College. Most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, but this airport is GYI to the FAA and PNX to the IATA (which assigned GYI to Gisenyi Airport in Gisenyi, Rwanda). Harry Hines Blvd where Dallas North Tollway starts Harry Hines Boulevard is a major street in Dallas, Texas, (USA), to the west of Uptown. It was one of the first 'highways' in Texas, and is named for Harry Hines in honor of his work helping to get roads paved in this part of the state. The Dallas North Tollway (DNT, or simply the Tollway) is a controlled-access toll road operated by the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA), which runs from Interstate 35E near downtown Dallas, Texas (USA), to U.S. Highway 380, in Frisco, Texas. The Dallas North Tollway was the first toll road in the United States to implement electronic toll collection technology, with the introduction of the TollTag in 1989. TollTag users were originally charged $0.05 extra per transaction, but by 1999, the agency moved to the active encouragement of TollTag use by giving tag users a discount off the cash toll rate.
