''An Eyewitness Account'' ( it, Testimone a rischio, also known as ''Risking Witness'' and ''Witness in Danger'') is a 1997 thriller- drama film directed by Pasquale Pozzessere. It is based on real life events of Sicilian Mafia hit eyewitness Piero Nava. For his performance Fabrizio Bentivoglio won the David di Donatello Award for best actor and the Ciak d'oro in the same category. Pasquale Pozzessere
Pasquale Pozzessere (born in 1957) is an Italian film director and screenwriter. Life and career Born in Lizzano, Taranto in the mid-1980s Pozzessere abandoned his medicine university studies to enter the cinema industry working as a script supervisor for Pupi Avati and as assistant director of Francesco Maselli. After directing a number of short films, he made his feature film debut in 1992, with '' Verso Sud'', for which he was nominated to a David di Donatello for Best New Director and won the Grolla d'oro in the same category. The film also won the Grand Prix at the Annecy Film Festival. Margherita Buy (born 15 January 1962) is an Italian actress. She is a seven-time David di Donatello Awards winner and seven-time Nastro d'argento winner. Overview After a long period of studying at the Academy of Dramatic Arts, she made her breakthrough role in Duccio Tessari's ''Una grande storia d'amore'' (1986), which was followed by roles in Daniele Luchetti's two projects ''It's Happening Tomorrow'' (1988) and '' The Week of the Sphinx'' (1990). Biagio Pelligra (born 24 June 1937, in Comiso) is an Italian stage, film and television actor. Life and career Born in Comiso, Province of Ragusa, Pelligra started his acting career in the second half of the sixties, and after several minor roles he got his first role of weight in 1972, in Marco Leto's ''Black Holiday''. Arnaldo Ninchi
Arnaldo Ninchi (17 December 1935 – 6 May 2013) was an Italian actor, voice actor and basketball player. Ninchi was born in Pesaro, the son of the actor Annibale. In his youth he was a basketball player, debuting on the national team at just 17 years old. In 1959 he graduated from the Silvio D'Amico National Academy of Dramatic Art and began working on stage.
