''Test Pattern'' is an album by Sonia Dada released in 2004 on Razor & Tie Records. The album was released in a gatefold CD/DVD packaging featuring a half-hour short film by Jeth Weinrich, as well as an accompanying montage for the entire album. The first track, "Moons of Jupiter", samples a female vocal line that was also used at the beginning of the ''Firefly The Lampyridae are a family of elateroid beetles with more than 2,000 described species, many of which are light-emitting. Sonia Dada was an American rock, soul, and rhythm and blues band, formed in Chicago in 1990. Founding member Daniel Pritzker enlisted Michael Scott, Paris Delane, and Sam Hogan after hearing the latter three sing in a subway station.Biography Allmusic.com. Sonia Dada has become a mainstay of the Chicago musical scene in the years since, incorporating elements of rock, soul, gospel, and funk. Razor & Tie was an American entertainment company that consisted of a record label and a music publishing company. It was established in 1990 by Craig Balsam and Cliff Chenfeld. Based in New York City (with additional offices in Los Angeles and Nashville), Razor & Tie releases were distributed by Universal Music Group. Razor & Tie initially focused on compilation albums and re-issues. Jeth Weinrich is a Canadian documentary filmmaker, and music video and commercial director. Early life Weinrich was born in Pittsburgh in 1951 and grew up in Calgary; he was valedictorian of his graduating class at Viscount Bennett High School in 1978. He played for the Calgary Colts of the Canadian Junior Football League for two years, but his football career was ended by an injury and he temporarily left Calgary to attend the Parsons School of Design in New York. Career After working as an assistant to Oliver Stone, Weinrich returned to Calgary and founded Red Motel Pictures. He produced and directed the 1990 documentary ''Moon of the Desperados'', about the American Bullrider, which was nominated for Best Sports Program at the 5th Gemini Awards.
