Teso College Aloet
Teso College Aloet (TCA) was established in 1953. Teso College is an all-male preparatory school, a boarding school, located in Aloet, Soroti, in Uganda. As of 2014, Teso College has 1,574 students. Over 30,000 students have graduated from TCA since its establishment. Teso College ranks in the top 50 in the Ugandan national examinations performance listing. Students at Teso College have access to a full array of co-curricular activities, including clubs and sports. Teso College's mission is to educate the future leaders of Uganda. History Teso College was started in 1953 through the initiative of the local people from the Aloet area, with the support of Leo Okol, the Chairman of the Teso District Council at the time. Wafula Oguttu
Phillip Wafula Oguttu (born 21 December 1952) is a Ugandan journalist and politician. He is a former Leader of Opposition in the Ugandan Parliament. He was appointed to that position on 31 January 2014, replacing Nandala Mafabi, and held it until June 2016 when he handed over the position to Winnie Kiiza. Oguttu was formerly the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bukhooli County Central, a constituency in Bugiri District, Busoga Sub-region, Eastern Region of Uganda, a role he held from 2011 until 2016. He is a member of Uganda's opposition party Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) for which he is the spokesperson. Oguttu is also one of the co-founders of the ''Daily Monitor'', a privately owned English-language daily newspaper in Uganda. Andrew Mukooza
Andrew Joet Mukooza (21 July 1944 – 24 April 1979) was a Ugandan military officer who served as the last head of the Ugandan Air Force, Uganda Army Air Force before its destruction during the Uganda–Tanzania War of 1978–79. Born in eastern Uganda, Mukooza joined the air force during the President of Uganda, presidency of Milton Obote. In 1971, army commander Idi Amin assumed power in Uganda. Mukooza stayed firmly loyal to Amin's regime, and consequently rose in the ranks. He possibly helped Amin to defeat a Operation Mafuta Mingi, coup attempt in 1977, drawing the ire of Uganda's opposition. When the Uganda–Tanzania War broke out, Mukooza initially flew missions as fighter pilot and became head of the Uganda Army Air Force when the latter began to disintegrate amid combat losses, defections, and desertions. Charles Engola
Charles Okello Macodwogo Engola (12 October 1958 – 2 May 2023), commonly known as Charles Okello (Macodwogo) Engola, was a Ugandan politician and a retired colonel in the Uganda People's Defence Force. He was the State Minister for Labour, Employment and Industrial Relations in the Ugandan Cabinet, as well as the Member of Parliament representing Oyam North County when he was shot and killed by his bodyguard.
