Terrorist Incidents In Pakistan In 2008
In 2008, Pakistan saw 40 terrorist attacks, which caused 154 fatalities and 256 injuries. January – March * 10 January:- 24 people were killed and 73 injured in a suicide attack when the policemen were deliberately targeted outside Lahore High Court before the scheduled lawyer's protest against the government in Punjab's capital, Lahore. This attack was first of its kind in Lahore since the start of the war on terror. * 14 January:- At least 10 people were killed and over 50 wounded when a bomb exploded in Quaidabad, Punjab. Terrorism In Pakistan
Terrorism in Pakistan, according to the Ministry of Interior, poses a significant threat to the people of Pakistan. The current wave of terrorism is believed to have started in 2000 and peaked during 2009. Since then, it has drastically declined as result of military operations conducted by the Pakistan Army. According to South Asian Terrorism Portal Index (SATP), terrorism in Pakistan has declined by 89% in 2017 since 2009. Balochistan alone accounted for 48.29 per cent of Pakistan’s total terrorism-linked fatalities (664 fatalities) in 2021. Since 2001, the Pakistan military has launched a series of military offensives against terrorist groups in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA). Army Medical College
Army Medical College ( ur, , also known as ''AM College'') is a military institute which was established in 1977 as a residential institution for imparting undergraduate medical education to selected cadets. The college also allows the civilian admission of students who do not want to join Pakistan Army. Degree awarded by AMC is accredited by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC). The college was initially affiliated with Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) for MBBS degree. Miranshah
Mīrānshāh (Pashto and ur, ) or Mīrāmshāh () is a small town that is the administrative headquarters of North Waziristan District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. In criminal law, a conspiracy is an agreement between two or more persons to commit a crime at some time in the future.
