Terence Strange
Terence Victor Strange (born 28 December 1932 in Oxford) is a former English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast bowler who played for Oxfordshire. A right-arm fast bowler and tail-end right-handed batsman, Strange made his Minor Counties Championship debut for Oxfordshire during the 1953 season, and played 41 matches over 18 seasons. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. Oxfordshire County Cricket Club is one of twenty minor county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Oxfordshire. The team is currently a member of the Minor Counties Championship Western Division and plays in the MCCA Knockout Trophy. In cricket, a batter is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batter is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Occurrence At least one batter is not out at the end of every innings, because once ten batters are out, the eleventh has no partner to bat on with so the innings ends. Usually two batters finish not out if the batting side declares in first-class cricket, and often at the end of the scheduled number of overs in limited overs cricket.
