Teong Tzen Wei
Teong Tzen Wei (born 17 October 1997) is a Singaporean swimmer. He won the silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in the 50 m butterfly, becoming the third Singaporean athlete to win a swimming medal at the Commonwealth Games. Career 2017: First Southeast Asian gold At the 2017 Southeast Asian Games, Teong clocked 22.55s in the final of the 50m freestyle, winning his first Southeast Asian Games gold. 2018: FINA Swimming World Cup silver Teong clinched 2 silvers in the mixed 4 x 50 medley and the mixed 4 x 50 freestyle relays at the last part of the FINA Swimming World Cup which was held in Singapore. Benjamin Proud (born 21 September 1994) is an English competitive swimmer, representing Great Britain at the Olympic Games, the FINA World Aquatics Championships and LEN European Aquatics Championships, and England at the Commonwealth Games. Proud specialises in sprint freestyle and butterfly races, specifically the 50-metre distance in both. He is the 2022 World Champion in the 50 metre freestyle, his second long course world title. 2022 World Aquatics Championships
The 2022 World Aquatics Championships, the 19th edition of the FINA World Aquatics Championships, were held in Budapest, Hungary, from 17 June to 3 July 2022. In March 2022, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, FINA banned both the Russian and Belarusian nationals from entering the championships. Host selection Originally, Budapest was selected to host the 2021 World Aquatics Championships. However, after Guadalajara, Mexico, pulled out from the organization of the 2017 Championships, the city took the responsibility for hosting the event, since the infrastructure was already fully ready. Jonathan Tan (swimmer)
Jonathan Tan (born 11 March 2002) is a Singaporean swimmer. He represented Singapore at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships held in Gwangju, South Korea and he finished in 34th place in the heats in the men's 50 metre freestyle event. He qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics after meeting the Olympics 'A' cut of 21.96 s for 50 m freestyle, clocking 21.91 s in the heats at the 2023 Southeast Asian Games. Swimming career In 2018, he represented Singapore at the Asian Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia and he competed in one individual event and two relays events. Joseph Schooling
Joseph Isaac Schooling (born 16 June 1995) is a Singaporean professional swimmer who specialises in butterfly, freestyle and medley events. He was the gold medalist in the 100m butterfly at the 2016 Olympics, achieving Singapore's first ever Olympic gold medal. His winning time of 50.39s broke multiple records at the National, Southeast Asian, Asian and Olympic levels. Swimming At The 2017 Southeast Asian Games
The swimming competitions at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur took place at National Aquatic Centre in Bukit Jalil. It was one of four aquatic sports at the games, along with diving, water polo, and synchronised swimming. Meanwhile, marathon swimming was held at the Putrajaya Lake.
