Jonathan Tan (swimmer)
Jonathan Tan (born 11 March 2002) is a Singaporean swimmer. He represented Singapore at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships held in Gwangju, South Korea and he finished in 34th place in the heats in the men's 50 metre freestyle event. He qualified for the 2024 Summer Olympics after meeting the Olympics 'A' cut of 21.96 s for 50 m freestyle, clocking 21.91 s in the heats at the 2023 Southeast Asian Games. Swimming career In 2018, he represented Singapore at the Asian Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia and he competed in one individual event and two relays events. He finished in 14th place in the heats in the men's 200 metre freestyle event. He won the bronze medal both in the men's 4 × 100 m freestyle relay and men's 4 × 200 m freestyle relay events. The 2021 Southeast Asian Games ( vi, Đại hội Thể thao Đông Nam Á 2021, lit=2021 Southeast Asian Sport Festival), officially known as the 31st Southeast Asian Games, or the 31st SEA Games and also known as Vietnam 2021, was the 31st edition of the Southeast Asian Games, the biennial regional multi-sport event which was held in Hanoi, Vietnam and its surrounding cities from 12 to 23 May 2022. The men's 200 metre freestyle event at the 2018 Asian Games took place on 19 August at the Gelora Bung Karno Aquatic Stadium. The 2018 Asian Games ( id, Pesta Olahraga Asia 2018 or ''Asian Games 2018''), officially known as the 18th Asian Games and also known as Jakarta-Palembang 2018 or Indonesia 2018, was a Asia, continental multi-sport event that was held from 18 August to 2 September 2018 in Jakarta and Palembang. Singapore participated in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia from 18 August to 2 September 2018. It was Singapore's 18th appearance at the Asian Games, having competed at every Games since 1951, and claimed 8 gold, 7 silver, and 12 bronze medals at the 2006 Doha, as their best achievement this far.
