Tennessee Three
The Tennessee Three was the backing band for singer Johnny Cash for nearly 25 years; he was known especially for his country/rockabilly style, although he won awards in numerous categories. In 1980, he reorganized the group, expanding it and naming it The Great Eighties Eight. The band provided the unique backing that would come to be recognized by fans as "the Johnny Cash sound." The TCB Band is a group of professional musicians who formed the core rhythm section of Elvis Presley’s band from August 1969 until his death in 1977. (Depending on the context, the nickname may also extend to Elvis’ background vocalists during that same period: The Imperials and The Sweet Inspirations). ''Johnny Cash at San Quentin'' is the 31st overall album and second live album by American singer-songwriter Johnny Cash, recorded live at San Quentin State Prison on February 24, 1969, and released on June 16 of that same year. The concert was filmed by Granada Television, produced and directed by Michael Darlow. The album was the second in Cash's conceptual series of live prison albums that also included ''At Folsom Prison'' (1968), ''På Österåker'' (1973), and ''A Concert Behind Prison Walls'' (1976). San Quentin State Prison

Culled from single sides that had not previously appeared on albums (with the exceptions of " Honky-Tonk Girl" and "Lorena"), it is primarily made up of lesser-known songs, although " You Beat All I Ever Saw" and " Second Honeymoon" reached No. 20 and No. 15 respectively on the Country charts. Tracks 4, 7, 10 and 13 are instrumentals originally credited to "The Tennessee Two and Friend."
