Tenille Jade Dakota Arts (born April 19, 1994) is a Canadian country music singer from Weyburn, Saskatchewan. She released a self-titled extended play and her debut studio album '' Rebel Child'' with 19th & Grand Records before signing a joint record deal with indie label Reviver Records in 2018. Her first album under that deal, '' Love, Heartbreak, & Everything in Between'', was released in January 2020. Arts was nominated for the Discovery Artist Award by the Canadian Country Music Association in 2016 and has received multiple awards from the Saskatchewan Country Music Association. Education She holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of British Columbia; where she studied with Richard Van Camp. Her MFA dissertation was titled ''Nuniyé Tehlgh-th : land of the wolf'', and was a "young adult novel tells the story of Kelly Estatheneh, a young Dene woman living at the English River First Nation reserve in Northern Saskatchewan." Dashwood started training for professional wrestling in Australia in 2003 when she was 13 years old. In 2008, Dashwood went to Canada to train at the Storm Wrestling Academy. In 2011, at the age of 17, she was nominated for a Canadian Country Music Award for Female Artist of the Year. Biography Townes was raised in Grande Prairie, Alberta, and attended Peace Wapiti Academy high school. She was introduced to country music by her parents and grandparents during trips in the family car. At the age of nine, she attended a concert by Shania Twain during her Up!
