Ten Mile Junction Depot
Ten Mile Junction Depot is a depot for LRT trains serving the Bukit Panjang LRT in Singapore. It is integrated with the Junction 10 shopping mall and The Tennery condominium, with the depot facilities and Operations Control Centre located at the third level while the first and second levels are occupied by shops. It is the first depot in Singapore to be built in an existing building and also the first LRT depot to be built. The depot is located next to the former Ten Mile Junction LRT station. Trains entering the depot will take the first left turn instead of second left which Ten Mile Junction LRT Station uses, while the straight track is used for the maintenance area and will also allow single train cars to couple to form two car trains for two carriage operation. SMRT Trains Limited is a rail operator in Singapore and a wholly owned subsidiary of SMRT Corporation. After the privatisation of the MRT operations in 1995, it was originally named Singapore MRT Limited. Bombardier Innovia APM 100 C801
The Bombardier Innovia APM 100 C801 (APM 100, originally known as CX-100) is the first generation of an automated people mover (APM) train built by Adtranz (now Bombardier Transportation) for use on the Bukit Panjang LRT (BPLRT). Operational history The C801 trains was operated since the BPLRT was opened. The first train was delivered on 21 January 1999, which is painted in light blue train cars and two turquoise stripes pasted. Later on, since December 2004, trains has been refurbished with the replacing of "Adtranz CX-100" into "Bombardier Innovia APM 100", and were repainted into a single red stripe pasted on the same blue car. These trains used to have LCD displays on each train for advertising purposes, however, these were removed in 2009 due to lack of demand. The Bombardier Innovia APM 100 C801A (APM 100) is the second generation of an automated people mover (APM) train built by Bombardier Transportation for the Bukit Panjang LRT line. These trains are mainly for airport connections and light rail in towns and it is operated by Automatic Train Control (ATC), making it fully automatic and driverless. The use of rubber tyres and ceramic tracks are extremely quiet compared to conventional rail. This additional batch of trains will increase the capacity of the Bukit Panjang LRT line by 50% by 2014. As of 4 September 2015, all train cars are officially on revenue service. Bukit Panjang LRT Line
The Bukit Panjang LRT line (BPLRT) is a automated guideway transit line in Bukit Panjang, Singapore. The BPLRT is the only LRT line operated by SMRT Trains. As the name suggests, it serves 13 stations in the neighbourhood of Bukit Panjang and Choa Chu Kang. The line is the first LRT line in Singapore and was opened on 6 November 1999 by Deputy Prime Minister Tony Tan. It is a fully elevated and automated people mover system. Junction 10, formerly Ten Mile Junction, is a shopping centre in Bukit Panjang, Singapore located at the junction of Choa Chu Kang Road and Woodlands Road. Background The mall was opened in 1998 as Ten Mile Junction (). It is owned by Far East Organization. It was accessible via the then-operational Ten Mile Junction LRT station, on the Bukit Panjang LRT line, which was permanently closed since 13 January 2019. The platform was located on level 3 of the complex, which also houses the Ten Mile Junction Depot adjacent to the station.
