Temur Babluani
Temur Babluani ( ka, თემურ ბაბლუანი) (born 20 March 1948) is a Georgian film director, script writer, and actor. Bebluani was born in the mountainous Svanetian village of Chaguri in the Georgian SSR. He graduated from Tbilisi State Theater Institute in 1979, being tutored by Tengiz Abuladze and Irakli Kvirikadze. He performed in the Soviet-era movies ''Our Youth'' (ღიმილის ბიჭები, 1969), ''Earth, This Is Your Son'' (მშობლიურო ჩემო მიწავ, 1980), and ''Cucaracha'' (კუკარაჩა, 1982); and directed ''The Flight of Sparrows'' (ბეღურების გადაფრენა, 1980), and ''The Brother'' (ძმა, 1981). ''A Chef in Love'', (Georgian: შეყვარებული კულინარის 1001 რეცეპტი / ''Shekvarebuli kulinaris ataserti retsepti'', literally, "1001 recipes of a chef in love") is a 1996 Georgian film directed by Nana Dzhordzhadze. It stars Pierre Richard and Nino Kirtadze. Plot The film tells the story of Pascal Ichak, a French opera singer and chef living in Georgia, who opens a restaurant. It also shows the life in Georgia at the beginning of the 20th century, including its short period of independence (see Democratic Republic of Georgia). After the Bolshevik coup attempt in Georgia (1920), the chef refuses to emigrate and endures the brutalities of the new regime. Géla Babluani ( ka, გელა ბაბლუანი) is a Georgian– French film director. Babluani was born in Tbilisi, son of prominent director Temur Babluani. At 17 years of age, he and his three siblings were sent to study in France. His first short film, ''A Fleur de Peau'' (2002), received critical appraise. His first feature-length film is '' 13 Tzameti'', won the World Cinema Jury Prize for a Dramatic motion picture at the Sundance Film Festival. In 2006 he directed the film '' L'héritage'' with his father about several people from France who visit Tbilisi for an inheritance. Nana Jorjadze
Nana Jorjadze ( ka, ნანა ჯორჯაძე; born 24 August 1948) is an Academy Award nominated film director, scriptwriter and actress. Jorjadze was born in Tbilisi, and graduated first from a local musical school (1966), and then from the architectural department at the Tbilisi State Academy of Fine Arts (1972). Having worked as an architect in the years 1968 to 1974, she enrolled in the Tbilisi State Theatre Institute which she completed in 1980. She debuted as an actress with the film ''Some Interviews on Personal Matters'' in 1977; and as a director with ''A Journey to Sopot'' in 1979. Her 1987 work '' Robinsonada or My English Grandfather'' was a breakthrough that won her the Caméra d'Or at the 1987 Cannes Film Festival, and both critical and popular acclaim. Svaneti or Svanetia (Suania in ancient sources; ka, სვანეთი ) is a historic province in the northwestern part of Georgia (country), Georgia. It is inhabited by the Svans, an ethnic subgroup of Georgians.
