Televisora Andina De Mérida
Televisora Andina de Mérida (shortened to TAM TV) is a television broadcast network owned by Radiodifusora Andina de Mérida, S.A. and based in the city of Mérida, Mérida, Mérida in Venezuela. TAM TV was founded in 1982 becoming the first operational regional television network in Venezuela. In 2006 the network joins Televisora Regional del Táchira, TRT, Televisora de Oriente, TVO, TVS (Venezuela), TVS, Promar TV and Global TV to form the TVR (Televisión Regional), TVR television alliance (Televisión Regional), which broadcasts five more channels on pay TV. Its current slogan is ''Tan nuestra como siempre'' (Spanish for ''as ours as always''). Mérida, officially known as ''Santiago de los Caballeros de Mérida'', is the capital of the municipality of Libertador and the state of Mérida, and is one of the main cities of the Venezuelan Andes. It was founded in 1558 by Captain Juan Rodríguez Suárez, forming part of Nueva Granada, but later became part of the Captaincy General of Venezuela and played an active role in the War of Independence. Televisora Regional Del Táchira
The Televisora Regional del Táchira (TRT) is a privately owned Venezuelan regional television network based in the city of San Cristóbal in Táchira. Including Táchira, TRT can be seen in the southern part of the Zulia, northeastern Barinas, and northern Apure in Venezuela. Its signal can also be seen in Colombia in the Norte de Santander Department and northern Arauca Department. It broadcasts on channel six. Televisora De Oriente
Televisora de Oriente, or TVO, is a Venezuelan private television channel founded in 1992. The station are located in Puerto La Cruz and the signal can be seen in the Venezuelan states of Anzoátegui (channels 5 and 13), Monagas (channel 32), Nueva Esparta (channel 8), and Sucre (channel 8). Some people in the Miranda and Guárico states can also pick up the signal of TVO. It began broadcasting about twelve years ago. Promar TV
Promar TV is a Venezuelan regional television station that can be seen in the Lara, Barinas, Portuguesa, and Yaracuy states. History Promar TV was created in the Lara State as an independent television produccion company called Mariano & Co. towards the end of the year 1949. Its founders were Mariano Kossowski and his brother Andrés Kossowski. The first produccion by Mariano & Co. was a newscast, which began airing at the end of the year 1950 and was seen in clubs, schools, and on a large screen located in the parking lot of the local Sears. This was the very first newscast that was made in the interior of the country. "El noticiero Lara" remained on the air until 1953, when it was shut down by the local municipal council because they considered it to be an unfair competitor to the local movie theaters.
