Tejendra Khanna
Tejendra Khanna (born 16 December 1938) is the former Lieutenant Governor of Delhi twice, from January 1997 to April 1998 and again from April 2007 - July 2013. He also served as Chancellor of Delhi Technological University, Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, Delhi, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and Ambedkar University. Early life and education Tejendra Khanna was born in Patna, Bihar on 16 December 1938. He earned his Master of Science (Physics) from Patna University and Master of Arts in Public Administration from University of California, Berkeley. Career He was a 1961 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. He held different administrative positions in Punjab. Patna ( ), historically known as Pataliputra, is the capital and largest city of the state of Bihar in India. Patna University is a public state university in Patna, Bihar, India. It was established on 1 October 1917 during the British Raj. The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi is the constitutional head of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The post was first established in September 1966, when The Delhi Administration Act, 1966 came into effect. Thus the former Delhi Legislative Assembly was replaced by the Delhi Metropolitan Council with 56 elected and 5 nominated members with the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi as its head. The Council however had no legislative powers, only an advisory role in the governance of Delhi. This setup functioned until 1990, when the Assembly was reinstated; the position of Lieutenant Governor retained its role. Wonkwang University is a university located in Iksan, South Korea. Founded as Youilhakrim (유일학림) in 1946, it is one of the few academies affiliated with Won Buddhism. Yuilhakrim was succeeded by Wonkwang Junior College (원광초급대학) on 5 November 1951, and gained college status on 29 January 1953.
