Team Carinthia
Team Carinthia (german: Team Kärnten, TK), formerly Team Stronach Carinthia, is a political party in the Austrian state of Carinthia. It emerged from the Carinthian regional organization of the now defunct Team Stronach. In the media, it is attested to have a populist orientation. In the 2018 Carinthian state election, Team Carinthia reached the Carinthian Landtag with 5.80% of the votes. History In the 2013 Carinthian state election, the party achieved 11.18% of the votes cast and entered the Carinthian Landtag with four seats. Keutschach am See ( sl, Hodiše ob jezeru) is a municipality in the district of Klagenfurt-Land in the Austrian state of Carinthia. Geography The municipality lies in a glacial valley between the Wörthersee Lake and Mt. Pyramidenkogel on the north and the summits of the Sattnitz range on the south. Spittal An Der Drau
Spittal an der Drau is a town in the western part of the Austrian federal state of Carinthia. It is the administrative centre of Spittal an der Drau District, Austria's second largest district (''Bezirk'') by area. Geography The town is located on the southern slopes of the Gurktal Alps (Nock Mountains), between the Lurnfeld Basin and the Lower Drau Valley. Despite its name, the historic core of Spittal originated on the banks of the small Lieser tributary, which flows into the Drau at the foot of Mt. The 2013 Lower Austrian state election was held on 3 March 2013 to elect the members of the Landtag of Lower Austria. The Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) retained its majority. The main winner of the election was the new Team Stronach, which debuted at 9.8%. It drew votes from the ÖVP, Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) and Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ). 2013 Carinthian State Election
The 2013 Carinthian state election was held on 3 March 2013 to elect the members of the Landtag of Carinthia. The election saw a massive shift in Carinthian politics, which had been dominated by the Freedom Party in Carinthia (FPK) and Governor Jörg Haider since the 1990s. After Haider's death in 2008, he was succeeded by Gerhard Dörfler. After winning the 2009 election, Dörfler's government suffered a string of scandals and the FPK's popularity plummeted. Ultimately, they suffered a catastrophic loss of 28 percentage points, the worst ever suffered by a party in post-war Austria. 2018 Carinthian State Election
The 2018 Carinthian state election was held on 5 March 2018 to elect the members of the Landtag of Carinthia. The centre-left Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) was the clear winner, taking 47.9% of votes, an eleven percentage point increase from 2013. The Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) gained six points, and the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) gained one. This was enabled by a collapse in support for other parties: Team Carinthia, which had split from defunct Team Stronach, lost half its voteshare; The Greens tumbled from 12% to 3% and lost their representation; and the Alliance for the Future of Austria (BZÖ) collapsed from 6.4% to just 0.4%.
