Taüll
Taüll () is a town in the province of Lleida, in Catalonia, Spain. It is home to the church of Sant Climent de Taüll, an excellent example of Romanesque architecture, one of the Catalan Romanesque Churches of the Vall de Boà declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Taüll is one of the villages of the municipality of Vall de Boà in the comarca of Alta Ribagorça. Etymology According to Catalan linguist Joan Coromines, the name Taüll comes from the Ibero-Basque roots ''(a) ta-uri'' > ''(a) ta-uli'': "the village of the (mountain's) door". Location It is located at the bottom of Vall de BoÃ. The town as of 2008 had 270 inhabitants. In order to get to Taüll, from the city of Lleida take the N-230 road, that begins in Lleida and finishes in Vielha. The N-230 goes through the village of Pont de Suert. Catalan Romanesque Churches Of The Vall De BoÃ
The Churches of the Vall de Boà are a set of nine Early Romanesque churches declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO and located in the Vall de BoÃ, in the Catalan comarca of Alta Ribagorça (Province of Lleida). Vall De BoÃ
The Vall de Boà () is a narrow, steep-sided valley and a small municipality in the province of Lleida, in the autonomous community of Catalonia, northern Spain. It lies in the northeastern corner of the comarca of Alta Ribagorça, on the edges of the Pyrenees. It is the largest municipality of the region, with its main town being Barruera. The valley is best known for its nine Early Romanesque churches, making it the site of the densest concentration of Romanesque architecture in Europe. It was designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO on 30 November 2000. Lleida (, ; Spanish: Lérida ) is a city in the west of Catalonia, Spain. It is the capital city of the province of Lleida. Geographically, it is located in the Catalan Central Depression. It is also the capital city of the Segrià comarca, as well as the largest city in the province. It had 137,387 inhabitants , including the contiguous towns of Raimat and Sucs. The Iberian language was the language of an indigenous western European people identified by Greek and Roman sources who lived in the eastern and southeastern regions of the Iberian Peninsula in the pre-Migration Era (before about 375 AD). Vielha e Mijaran (; ca, Viella – Mitg-Aran ) is a municipality in Aran, Lleida, Spain.
