Taybor Pepper
Taybor Pepper (born May 28, 1994) is an American football long snapper for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Michigan State. College career Pepper attended Michigan State University where he served as starting long snapper all four years from 2012 to 2016, playing a total 54 career games. In 2015, analyst Phil Steele named Pepper to the preseason second All-America team. Professional career Green Bay Packers After going undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft, Pepper was not signed by a team during the 2016 season. On January 27, 2017, he signed a reserve/futures contract with the Green Bay Packers. Baltimore Ravens On August 28, 2017, Pepper signed with the Baltimore Ravens, but was waived four days later. Long Snapper
In American football, the long snapper (or deep snapper) is a center on special teams whose duty is to snap the football over a longer distance, typically around 15 yards during punts, and 7–8 yards during field goals and extra point attempts. Overview During field goal and point after touchdown attempts, the snap is received by the holder, typically 7–8 yards away. During punts, the snap is delivered to the punter from 13–15 yards away. Following a punt snap, the snapper often executes a blocking assignment and then must cover the kick by running downfield and attempting to stop the opposing team's punt returner from advancing the ball in the opposite direction. If the punt goes uncaught, it is the snapper's responsibility to make sure the ball does not enter the end zone or bounce backward resulting in loss of yards. The All-America designation is an annual honor bestowed upon an amateur sports person from the United States who is considered to be one of the best amateurs in their sport. Individuals receiving this distinction are typically added to an All-America team for their sport. Some sports will have multiple All-America teams and will list the honorees as members of a first team, second team, or third team. The injured reserve list ( IR list) is a designation used in North American professional sports leagues for athletes who suffer injuries and become unable to play. The exact name of the list varies by league; it is known as "injured reserve" in the National Football League (NFL) and National Hockey League (NHL), the "injured list" in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the injured list (historically known as the "disabled list") in Major League Baseball (MLB). The National Basketball Association (NBA) does not have a direct analog to an injured reserve list, instead using a more general-purpose "inactive list" that does not require a player to be injured.
