Tayavek Gallizzi
Tayavek Gallizzi (born February 8, 1993) is an Argentine professional basketball player who currently plays for Regatas Corrientes of the Argentine Liga Nacional de Básquet (LNB). He defends Argentina national basketball team, Argentina. Professional career Gallizzi began his professional club basketball career with Quilmes Mar del Plata. He helped Quilmes earn a league promotion and relegation, promotion from the Torneo Nacional de Ascenso, Argentine 2nd Division (TNA), to the Liga Nacional de Básquet, Argentine 1st Division (LNB), in the 2012–13 season. He joined the Argentine club Quimsa, in 2016, and moved to the Argentine club, Club La Unión, in 2017. Basketball At The 2019 Pan American Games – Men's Tournament
The men's basketball tournament at the 2019 Pan American Games was held in Lima, Peru at the Coliseo Eduardo Dibos from 31 July to 4 August. The teams were grouped into two pools of four teams each for a round-robin preliminary round. The top two teams in each group advanced to a single elimination bracket. The 2017 FIBA AmeriCup was the 18th edition of the FIBA AmeriCup, which is the main tournament for senior men's basketball national teams of the FIBA Americas. The tournament was held in Medellín, Colombia, Montevideo, Uruguay, and Bahía Blanca and Córdoba, in Argentina, from 25 August, to 3 September 2017. Unlike previous editions, the tournament did not award spots for the FIBA World Cup or the Summer Olympic Games. However, the top seven teams qualified to the 2019 Pan American Games. 2014 FIBA World Cup
The 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup was the 17th edition of the FIBA Basketball World Cup, the tournament previously known as the FIBA World Championship. Hosted by Spain, it was the last tournament to be held on the then-current four-year cycle. The next FIBA World Cup was held five years later, in 2019, to reset the four-year-cycle on a different year than the FIFA World Cup. The United States won their fifth world championship, after beating silver medal-winning Serbia in the Final. France claimed the third place, while Lithuania finished fourth in the tournament. Host selection FIBA opened the bidding process on 10 January 2008 and all the letters of intent were submitted on 30 April 2008.
