Tatjana Maria (née Malek; born 8 August 1987) is a German professional tennis player. In November 2017, she reached her best singles ranking of world No. 46, and in June 2016, she peaked at No. 54 in the doubles rankings. She has won two singles titles and four doubles titles on the WTA Tour, as well as 16 singles and 15 doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. She has made twelve appearances (18 matches) for Germany in Fed Cup competition between 2006 and 2011 and between 2018 and 2020. The racket sport traditionally named lawn tennis, invented in Birmingham, England now commonly known simply as tennis, is the direct descendant of what is now denoted real tennis or royal tennis, which continues to be played today as a separate sport with more complex rules. Jeļena Ostapenko (born 8 June 1997), also known as Aļona Ostapenko, is a Latvian professional tennis player.
