Tatiana Tolmacheva
Tatyana Aleksandrovna Tolmachova (russian: Татьяна Александровна Толмачёва, née Granatkina, Гранаткина; 21 January 1907 – 21 October 1998) was a Russian figure skater, figure skating coach and one of the founders of Soviet figure skating school, Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR. She started skating as single skater and represented the club of Dynamo in the 1930s. Then she moved to pair skating with her husband Alexander Tolmachev (figure skater), Alexander Tolmachev. Tolmachova was the leading ladies' coach. She worked in Moscow. Her husband Alexander Tolmachev headed the Moscow department of the Figure Skating Federation of Russia. Since 1946, Tolmachova worked as a figure skating coach at the Young Pioneers Stadium school in Moscow, established with her help. Valentin Nikolaevich Piseev (russian: Валентин Николаевич Писеев; born 28 September 1941 in Volokolamsk) is a former general director of the Figure Skating Federation of Russia (until 2014) and the member of Russian Olympic Committee. He had been the president of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (from 1992 to 2010) before becoming a director, and the president of the Figure Skating Federation of the USSR (from 1988 to 1992, till the dissolution of the Soviet Union). His wife Alla Shekhovtsova is a figure skating judge. She is 23 years younger than her husband. He has a daughter Kristina (born 1974) from prior marriage, and a son Stanislav (born 1989) from Alla Shekhovtsova. Unified Sports Classification System of the USSR (russian: Единая Всесоюзная спортивная классификация) is a document which provided general Soviet physical education system requirements for both athletes and coaches. Similar systems still exist today in several former Soviet republics.
