Tata Birla
''Tata Birla'' () is a 1996 Indian Tamil-language comedy film directed by C. Ranganathan. The film stars Parthiban, Rachana Banerjee and Goundamani. The film, produced by MSV Murali, had musical score by Vidyasagar and was released on 4 October 1996. It was later remade in Telugu as ''Tata Birla Madhyalo Laila.'' Plot Priya lost her parents when she was a child and the will decree that her huge wealth would go to an orphanage if something bad happened to her by someone in line to inherit the property after her, before her 21st birthday. Her father's younger brother Ramanathan has cleverly positioned himself as an affectionate uncle to his niece Priya. Priya grows up in Ooty with her wealthy maternal grandparents and uncle. R. Parthiban (born 14 October 1958) is an Indian actor and filmmaker who works mainly in Tamil cinema. He has directed 15 films, produced 13 films and acted in more than 70 films. He started his career as assistant director for K. Bhagyaraj in 1984 and the duo worked in over 20 films from 1984 to 1991.
