Tanjung Lumpur
Tanjung Lumpur is a traditional fishing village located near the mouth of the Kuantan river in Kuantan District, Pahang, Malaysia. It is loosely translated into English as the " Cape of Mud". This village was in fact one of the earliest villages opened by the Malays in Kuantan many decades ago. It is located in the district of Kuantan about 2 kilometers away from Kuantan city. A fishing village is a village, usually located near a fishing ground, with an economy based on catching fish and harvesting seafood. From Neolithic times, these coastlines, as well as the shorelines of inland lakes and the banks of rivers, have been punctuated with fishing villages. Most surviving fishing villages are traditional. Kuantan River
The Kuantan River ( ms, Sungai Kuantan) is a river in Pahang, Malaysia. It runs from Sungai Lembing through Kuantan City before flowing out to South China Sea. One section of the Kuantan River flows past an ancient mangrove forest. This forest, which has existed for 500 years, is of vital importance and immense value for the many animal and bird species that it supports as well as for the ecology of the area. Kuantan District
The Kuantan District is a district in Pahang, Malaysia. Located in the north-east of Pahang, the district bordered Kemaman District of Terengganu on the north, South China Sea on the east, Jerantut District and Maran District on the west and Pekan District on the south. Kuantan
Kuantan ( Jawi: ) is a city and the state capital of Pahang, Malaysia. It is located near the mouth of the Kuantan River. Kuantan is the 18th largest city in Malaysia based on 2010 population, and the largest city in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The administrative centre of the state of Pahang was officially relocated to Kuantan on 27 August 1955 from Kuala Lipis and was officiated by HRH Sultan Abu Bakar Ri'ayatuddin Al Muadzam Shah, the Sultan of Pahang.
