Tanguturi Anjaiah
Tanguturi Anjaiah (1919–1986) was an Indian politician who served as the 7th Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from October 1980 to February 1982. He won from Ramayampet Assembly Constituency. Early life Tanguturi Anjaiah, known as T. Anjaiah, was born on August 16, 1919. His parents belonged to Bhanoor village in Medak district. Anjaiah's grandson Abhishek Reddy claimed that Anjaiah's real name was Ramakrishna Reddy, and he belonged to a Reddy caste, rather than Dalit. It is alleged the T. Anjaiah actually hails from the Munuru Kapu community and he changed his name to Ramakrishna Reddy to marry into the Reddy community in order to gain support of the Reddy community. It is proved he actually hails from the Munuru Kapu community as he was the Andhra Pradesh Munnuru Kapu Mahasabha Secretary from 1968-1981 and President from 1981-1985. The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh is the chief executive of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Tanguturi Prakasam
Tanguturi Prakasam Panthulu (23 August 1872 – 20 May 1957) was an Indian jurist, political leader, social reformer, and anti-colonial nationalist who served as the chief minister of the Madras Presidency. Tanguturi subsequently became the first chief minister of the erstwhile Andhra State, created by the partition of Madras State along the linguistic lines. Tanguturi was known as "Andhra Kesari" which translates to "Lion of Andhra". The Andhra Pradesh government issued G.O RT-2500 on 10 August 2014 declaring his birth anniversary a State holiday.
