Tancrède (French Singer)
Tancrède is a contemporary French singer born in Paris. Biography Attracted early to music, Tancrède wrote his first song when he was nine. He never stopped writing thereafter, and sang on the classical airs he learned at the Music school in Paris. He graduated with piano as a major. In parallel, he studied Law and graduated from the Law School in Paris. On the very evening of his oath-taking as a lawyer, he performed on the Sentier des Halles in Paris. For two years he led this double life, and as the number of concerts were increasing, he decided to leave his court dress and move on with music. 1st Album Tancrède's first album (Tancrède) was released in September 2005 by ULM-Universal, a Universal Music Group label. Directed by Roland Romanelli, a member of the band ''Space'', and the arranger and musician of Barbara. On its release, the album was greeted by critics with enthusiasm. La Cigale (; English: ''The Cicada'') is a theatre located at 120, boulevard de Rochechouart near Place Pigalle, in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. The theatre is part of a complex connected to the Le Trabendo concert venue and the Boule Noire. The hall can accommodate 1,389 people standing or 954 seated. The orchestra floor has a scalable platform that can tilt and rise using a hydraulic system. The Inrockuptibles music festival took place at La Cigale for over twenty years. Le Trianon (theatre)
Le Trianon is a theatre and concert hall in Paris. It is located at 80, boulevard de Rochechouart, in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, at the foot of the hill of Montmartre. Café concert (1894–1900) The ''Trianon-Concert'' was built as a ''café concert'' in 1894 in the garden of the ''Élysée Montmartre'', which was requisitioned for the purpose. Édouard Jean Niermans (1859–1928), a young architect who designed or rebuilt several theaters around that time, designed and decorated the Trianon-Concert. Opening in 1895, the Trianon-Concert was one of Paris's first music halls. Mistinguett, (Jeanne-Marie Bourgeois) made her debut at the Petit-Casino and the Trianon-Concert in its first year. Barbara (singer)
Monique Andrée Serf (9 June 1930 – 24 November 1997), known as Barbara, was a French singer. She took her stage name from her grandmother, Varvara Brodsky, a native of Odessa, Russian Empire (now Ukraine). Barbara became a famous cabaretière in the late 1950s in Paris, known as ('the midnight singer'), before she started composing her own tracks, which brought her to fame. Her most famous songs include "Dis, quand reviendras-tu ?" (1962), "Ma plus belle histoire d'amour" (1966) and "L'Aigle noir" (1970), the latter of which sold over 1 million copies in just twelve hours. Space (occasionally Didier Marouani & Space), are a French music band active from 1977 through 1980 and returning with on-stage remake performances since 1982. Roland Romanelli
Roland Romanelli (born 21 May 1946 in Algiers) is a French accordionist, synthesist and composer, mainly known as arranger. During his career, he worked with Barbara, Rusty Egan, and other notable figures in popular music. He was an early adopter of the Fairlight system. Romanelli moved to Paris in 1966. He was a session player on accordion and keyboards for the singer Barbara. He soon worked for other musicians including Charles Aznavour. In the late 1970s, he worked in the French space disco scene, and was a founding member of the popular band Space. He took up synthesizers, which helped his career grow in the 1980s. His 1982 album ''Connecting Flight'' was also released in the US on PolyGram Records.
