Tan Kian Meng () is a Malaysian badminton player who specializes in the doubles events. He is currently playing with Lai Pei Jing in mixed doubles. Originally a singles player, he switched to play in the doubles events since August 2014 due to slow career progress. The mixed doubles badminton event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games was held from 3 to 8 August 2022 at the National Exhibition Centre on the Solihull, England. Dechapol Puavaranukroh
Dechapol Puavaranukroh ( th, เดชาพล พัววรานุเคราะห์; born 20 May 1997) is a Thai badminton player. He was a gold medalist at the 2014 BWF World Junior Championships in the boys' doubles event with his partner Kittinupong Kedren. Puavaranukroh claimed doubles titles at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games by winning the gold medal in the men's doubles with Kedren and in the mixed doubles with Sapsiree Taerattanachai. Together with Taerattanachai, he won the silver and gold medals at the BWF World Championships in 2019 and 2021 respectively, became the first Thai pair who won the world title. The Singapore Open is a badminton event that has been held in Singapore annually since 1929. Badminton World Federation categorized Singapore Open as one of the seven BWF World Tour Super 500 events in the BWF events structure since 2018. In 2023, the tournament will be upgraded to a Super 750 event. In 1929, the Singapore Badminton Association (SBA) was established to promote the sport and organise competitions. Its first official annual open championships was held in that same year with the best players chosen to represent Singapore in the regional tournaments. The Badminton World Federation (BWF) is the international governing body for the sport of badminton recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It was founded in 1934 as the International Badminton Federation (IBF) with nine member nations (Canada, Denmark, England, France, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Scotland and Wales). Melati Daeva Oktavianti (born 26 October 1994) is an Indonesian doubles specialist badminton player affiliated with Djarum club since 2008. She was the 2019 Southeast Asian Games gold medalist in the mixed doubles with Praveen Jordan, and 2012 World Junior mixed doubles champion partnered with Edi Subaktiar. Praveen Jordan (born 26 April 1993) is an Indonesian badminton player who specialises in doubles. He is a two-time All England Open champion in mixed doubles, winning in 2016 with Debby Susanto and in 2020 with Melati Daeva Oktavianti. He has played for the badminton club PB Djarum since 2008. Career Junior career Jordan participated in 2011 Badminton Asia Junior Championships in Lucknow, India. In the mixed team event, he played in the men's doubles along with Rangga Yave Rianto. Julie MacPherson
Julie MacPherson (born 17 November 1997) is a Scottish badminton player who competes in international level events. She affiliate with club V3F, Mulhouse. She has won the Scottish National Championships four times in the women's doubles and two times in the mixed doubles. She also part of team Scotland that won the bronze medal at the 2020 European Women's Team Championships. MacPherson won the girls' singles bronze medal at the European U17 Championships in 2014.
