Praveen Jordan
Praveen Jordan (born 26 April 1993) is an Indonesian badminton player who specialises in doubles. He is a two-time All England Open champion in mixed doubles, winning in 2016 with Debby Susanto and in 2020 with Melati Daeva Oktavianti. He has played for the badminton club PB Djarum since 2008. Career Junior career Jordan participated in 2011 Badminton Asia Junior Championships in Lucknow, India. In the mixed team event, he played in the men's doubles along with Rangga Yave Rianto. In the first round they won their match, with Indonesia defeating Nepal 5–0. He and Rianto played back against Hong Kong in the third round, winning their match and helping Indonesia win 4–1. In the quarter-finals Jordan and Rianto won their match and helped Indonesia beat Japan 3–2. In the semi-finals they lost to the Malaysian team 1–3, and the team won the bronze medal. Vita Marissa (born 4 January 1981) is an Indonesian retired badminton player. Career Marissa competed in badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics in mixed doubles with partner Nova Widianto. They had a bye in the first round and defeated Robert Blair and Natalie Munt of Great Britain in the second. In the quarterfinals, Marissa and Widianto lost to Jens Eriksen and Mette Schjoldager of Denmark 15–12, 15–8. In September 2008 Marissa and her new partner Muhammad Rijal won in mixed doubles at the Japan Super Series after beating Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir 14–21, 21–15, 21–19 in the all Indonesian final. In early 2009, she resigned from the Indonesia National Team and is no longer a PBSI player. PB Djarum is an Indonesian badminton club in Kudus, Indonesia, Kudus, Central Java. The club was founded at the Djarum ''brak'' (cigarette factory) located at Jl. Bitingan Lama (now called Jl. Lukmonohadi) No. 35 in Kudus in 1969. Djarum's CEO, Robert Budi Hartono, Budi Hartono, encouraged the use of an on-site badminton court among his employees. The All England Open Badminton Championships is the world's oldest badminton tournament, held annually in England. With the introduction of the BWF's latest grading system, it was given Super Series status in 2007, upgraded to Super Series Premier status in 2011.
